Our ancestors are from Byelarus, Lithuania and Poland, but Ukraine is close enough. Recently she sent me some pictures of Maidan, which looked really trashed, as well as one of herself posing there in front of a homespun statue of a giant hedgehog holding a machine gun (the hedgehog is the national symbol). Her husband has served in the army, but had to re-register just in case. She loves Ukraine, especially the food. You've heard Polish jokes, so here's a Ukrainian one: How many Ukes does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Answer: None, Ukrainians already glow in the dark. Submitting....
