horrendous, abhorrent and preposterousReader comment on item: Debating the Morality of Israel & Hamas in Battle Submitted by Philip Van Den Berg (Australia), Jul 14, 2014 at 08:22 It was horrendous, abhorrent and preposterous to hear Hafsa Mustapha speak and defend a murderous regime that teaches hate and lies and rewrites history. It's quite obvious why Gaza's borders are not free and open. Only friendly nations can have open borders and friendliness only goes one way at the Gaza-Israel border. As Daniel mentioned, truckloads of goods go into Gaza every day. For as far as I know Gaza receives its majority electrical power from Israel. Gazan civilians are treated in Israeli hospitals etc. even when Israel is not obliged to do so. Non of this friendliness is returned. Based on historic facts I strongly belief that Gazans (or the mythical "palestinians") would have their own free airspace, free import and export etc. after they could prove genuinely that their only wish was to live in peace and harmony with it's neighbour Israel. However, as long as the Qur'anic religion of Islam dominates in these areas the likelihood of peace is dismissible and nonexistent. Thank you Larry for all the very good points raised.
