Dear Dr. Pipes: I've been following your web activities for quite some time and applaud your work, however I am sad to say the woman bested you in your last debate.

You debated from an intellectual fact based position,with a just little bit of passion interspersed while she debated with much passion and from a moral point of view which trumped your stance.

Your comment about the Palestinain deaths being irrelevant was the turning point in her favor. You may be right in that the larger picture those deaths were/are irrelevant, but the viewer reacts with shock and disdain at what comes across as cold and cruel. Her repeated accusations of us being an occupier and thus any resistance to an occupier is justified was unfortunately not countered effectively...You could have utilized the San Remo conference and decisions of 1920 as well as the U.N. 1947-8 resolutions to counter her constant harping of International law being against Israel.

I would suggest that you limit your debating to academic oriented venues where emotions do not favor your opponents.
