The CeasefireReader comment on item: Pushing for a Hamas-Israel Ceasefire Submitted by Lujack Skylark (United States), Jul 19, 2014 at 19:14 The ceasefire will give Hamas the victory of surviving in the eyes of Israel's enemies. The ceasefire would not last for long. Hamas has launched many missles towards Ashkelon in this present round of fighting. The IDF won't be able to find all the tunnels and advanced missiles before the ceasefire goes into effect. Hamas will be considered heroes to the Sunni Arab Jihadist and the first target Hamas could hit would be Ashkelon where the oil refineries are located. Zephaniah 2:4-5 states Ashkelon destroyed and no inhabitants left in Gaza. What is the warning? The Israelis should leave Ashkelon before the future ceasefire is broken or experience desolation. Hamas destruction of Ashkelon what would Israel do? Israel would not let Hamas destroy another Israeli city so Israel would carpet bomb Gaza to secure Israel's survival and thus the prophecy would be correct. The Arabs in all the Psalms 83:6-8 regions would be effected by this war. Ashkelon, Gaza, Damascus and the Aroer region of Jordan where there are 12,000 American troops would become desolate. (Isaiah 17:1-2) Shite Iran would come out the victor as the Sunni Arab Jihadist power would be destroyed. Persia/Iran would become the leading Muslim nation in the Middle-East listed first in Ezekiel 38:5. Israel will have a mere couple of years of peace (Ezekiel 38:11) before Russia (Gog) and Iran's forces are destroyed upon the mountains of Israel. (Ezekiel 39:1-4) The Israelis afterwards build their temple in Jerusalem. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
