Human Events Have Their Necessity of Judgment Regarding IsraelReader comment on item: Pushing for a Hamas-Israel Ceasefire Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Aug 4, 2014 at 15:54 So, Michael, I saw this later after the weekend during commencements of the Tisha B'av observances; and elsewhere some might be making out that the withdrawal from Gaza this time can be added to the other commemorations of this periodical time of Israel's history. I'm not so inclined to make this a Tisha B'av type of moment, but it is, as you indicate, high stakes gamble in a way the world seems bent upon ignoring while rolling the dice of their own faulted destiny. Isaiah is the quintessential Holy Writ on Israel's relationship with HaMashiach: it cannot be read without the help of the Ruach Kodesh being in its essence as well as its manifestation. It also means that there were near term implications of fulfillments which were 'validations' of the end time fulfillments yet to come. That said, none of the mainstream denominations are 'getting the memo' and are falling into the trap of the hype that somehow, Israel needs to be censured for their actions. That is one point of Isaiah 17. Shall we see this out further (?); and would you pardon the long sentences, for they are the consequences of decades of long ministrations of examining the world in its excesses of inhumanities to humanity. Of such is the pronouncement of the final judgment against Damascus. Gaza's predicament is one of high portent; for it now appears that the depth of Zephaniah's chapter 2 pronouncement about Gaza is highlighted by the participants of the Psalm 83 tome lashing together the Ishmaelite antagonists against Israel's Abrahamic covenant through Isaac. Zephaniah chapter is just around the next obstacles of prophecy; Joel and as you pointed out, Zechariah. Hamas is a tool; a front; a means to an end for the Iranian ambitions of ushering in the Twelfth Imam. They (all the enemies of Israel, real and feigned) all are pushing Israel; their reason? That's exactly the point: they are pushing for the final reason to begin Ezekiel's fulfillment. By your observance; ([w]hat troubles me this time around in Gaza, is that the stakes are so high for Israel) should be troubling, in so many ways it is impossible for any observer of Biblical practicalities not to be concerned. In recent times, others, along with this reader of prophetical scenarios, characterize it like this: the rustles of legions of angles wings are unmistakable. Does that make my observation over the top? Maybe; but in the light of out-of-control violence (Albright saying, [paraphrased] ….the world's in a mess-), who can really say what is, or is not, over the top; except to say, Israel appears to be 'in for it' if the world listens in French translations of Arabic and does not back off. And for the record, Dr. Pipes has been quite patient in all of this…… Baruch HaShem Adonai Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
