Russian Imperialism Loves Islamic Imperialism

I'm not one of those Putin apologists that one finds so often in the ranks of the "counter-jihad". Russia under Putin is a major enabler of Iranian missile and nuclear technology, a policy that is about as virulently anti-Israel and anti-Western as could be. Also, notice that those are Russian-designed, if not Russian-supplied missiles that are being shot at Israel from Gaza via Iran. It's hardly surprising that the Kremlin-controlled media is pro-Hamas. Nothing much has changed since Soviet days in that regard. Considering the fact that Israel is home to about a million Russian speakers, about 30% of whom are not even Jewish, one wonders about the sincerity of Putin's self-proclaimed concern for protecting Russian speakers.

Putin is an imperialist in the age-old Russian tradition, and therefore is sympatico with Iran, one of the world's most ruthless proponents of Islamic imperialism. He and Russia are a threat that needs some neo-Reaganesque containment.
