We might encourage the Caliphate...

I've been struck how closely ISIS's savagery parallels the atrocities Japan committed in its quest to dominate the Pacific before & during WWII (those who had not seen it should watch the 2007 movie Nanking to see armed men behaving like ISIS in the 1930s...) and have thought: maybe the caliphate needs to become firmly established before the political-religio philosophy of islamic jihad can be destroyed once and for all.

Japan presented an identifiable enemy, and with Hirohito lodged at the masthead, allowed us to prosecute the war to unconditional surrender. For the sake of annihilating it, the world needs a similar islamic structure to develop,

The fight against Japan was gruesome, and at the time, that enemy was as fanatical & barbaric in its means & methods as ISIS is today; we need to summon the resolve of that age, and the love of rational-based human freedoms & rights, to destroy this latest threat to our forward evolution.

Encourage the caliphate. Let it fester and grow,. And, when the time is right, and the caliphate's room is full of its adherents, wipe it off the face of the earth.
