all very puzzlingReader comment on item: Caliph Ibrahim's Brutal Moment Submitted by sara (United States), Aug 12, 2014 at 20:36 Michael, Given what you have described above, it becomes more confusing than ever to figure out where ISIS/IS lies along the spectrum if one puts Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas/Turkey/Qatar on one end and on the other, Egypt/Saudis/UAE (the west?). I read today that IS is threatening Turkey over water but they have been receiving support from Turkey (under Erdogan are MB supporters) when they needed to get into Syria. It's all quite a mess, and has progressed well beyond the easily defined sectarian (Sunni-Shia) conflict to a much more complex intra-Sunni divide. Now it is the 'democratic' MB rising up against the 'regimes'. What do you make of the recent hostility of IS towards Turkey (and recall they also threatened the Turkish embassy a while back).?
