A broader view

Culture - internalized cultural beliefs actually - are what determine cultural behavior. Cultural behavior makes one culture different from another. Religions are embraced within cultural boundaries. Religions, as they exist within different cultures, are an expression of distinct cultural beliefs. Pakistani-muslims are a distinct culture and Islam in that culture is distinct in many ways from Islam in other cultures. My point is that culture determines cultural behavior. Not religious labels. Using religious labels to predict behavior may be more than understanding cultural beliefs - but will result in many errors.
