Belated response to Dr. Pipes's response to meReader comment on item: Making Culture an Element of Immigration Policy Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Dec 24, 2014 at 23:45 Yet, to how many victims of An-Nakhbar and their offspring down to the third and fourth generations has Saudi Arabia granted actual citizenship, down to property rights, voting rights, public office eligibility, consular representation abroad, etc.? I suspect that there are more actual Falastin refugees and their offspring who are now no-questions-asked American citizens than are citizens of any seven Arabic-speaking states (Hashemite Jordan, the PA, and Israel itself excepted) put together. Yes, it's an issue. I, for one, think that every time the Arab street attacks a US diplomatic mission over the plight of the Palestinians, the US should pointedly call on the Arab states to naturalize those Palestine Arabs within their borders. After all, looking at a much larger refugee problem that started about the same time, how many natives of the Deccan and Uttar Pradesh and their offspring are now no-questions-asked Pakistanis; and how many natives of Sindh, Western Panjab, Peshawar, and East Bengal are now no-questions-asked Indians?
