They Are Not The FirstReader comment on item: Are Muslims Fatalists? Submitted by Barry Black (United States), Sep 17, 2015 at 14:05 The Japanese were also fatalists and the only way to defeat a fatalistic entity is to vanquish them, which is exactly what happened. In the ME, in order to achieve "peace" one side will have to vanquish the other----you can see it coming. Remember after the 1948 War, an Arab diplomat said that while the Jews may have won a battle, the war will continue and that the Arabs have a secret weapon and that weapon was and is "time". Israel, under Netanyahu, may have overplayed it's hand and the Palestinians, with help from Obama, might take advantage. The BDS movement is taking hold and should Obama fail to veto a Palestinian State resolution in the UNSC, the BDS movement may turn into UN sponsored economic sanctions. Wouldn't that be something, Iran gets a pass to world trade and to eventually build an A-bomb, and Israel won't be able to sell its oranges! Also, the Arabs know they are just one battle away from victory, which doesn't add incentive for peace.
