If I only had a brainReader comment on item: Ending a Century of Palestinian Rejectionism Submitted by Jeff (United States), Oct 29, 2015 at 13:26 I wonder about things sometimes, and there are some things I'll just never figure out: When the west bank was part of Jordan, why is it I never heard a peep about Jordan occupying Palestinian lands? And when Gaza was run by Egypt, I never heard anything about Egypt occupying Palestinian lands? Thousands of rockets can hit Israel from Gaza and southern Lebanon, the world yawns. But when the Israelis finally decide to fight back, the world wakes up and screams for a cease-fire. Couldn't we call for a cease-fire just a little sooner? If not, why not? If occupation of the west bank is the problem, what were the wars in 1948, 1956 and 1967 all about? How long will President Mahmoud Abbas' 4 year term last? Why is it so important for Jerusalem, not to mention entire middle eastern nations, to be Judenrein? If it's such a great thing, and enhances a city's welfare, why don't we just do it here in the USA, too? If it's not such a great thing, why doesn't our President or secretary of state ever say so?
