Israel, 'right-wing' Christians, and 'left-wing' Jews

If it were not for the strong pro-Israel stance of conservatives, especially Christian conservatives, American Jews might be less inclined to vote Democrat. As it is they probably feel comfortable in knowing that someone is supporting Israel even if they aren't - even if they wouldn't express it as such or even thought it through. If for whatever reason the Christian Zionists ceased in their support for Israel, American Jews might be more supportive. Of course it would be better if both constituencies supported Israel. Just a thought.
