What about the Gulenist network in America?Reader comment on item: Why I Rooted for the Turkish Coup Attempt Submitted by Solomon2 (United States), Jul 26, 2016 at 09:33 In Turkey and a few other countries like Kyrgyzstan, Erdogan is working to dismantle the Gulenist networks. But in America, where the Gulenist network of businesses and charter schools was developed while Erdogan and Gulen were friends, Erdo just wants Gulen. Why, if these networks are such a threat? Is Erdogan simply trying to remove Gulen so he can run the network himself, or is the Gulenist network no threat to a country's security at all? Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. Erdoğan is not particularly interested in the 150 Gülen schools in the United States. He has more urgent matters at hand - like becoming total dictator of Turkey. Reader comments (40) on this item
