What about the Gulenist network in America?

In Turkey and a few other countries like Kyrgyzstan, Erdogan is working to dismantle the Gulenist networks. But in America, where the Gulenist network of businesses and charter schools was developed while Erdogan and Gulen were friends, Erdo just wants Gulen. Why, if these networks are such a threat?

Is Erdogan simply trying to remove Gulen so he can run the network himself, or is the Gulenist network no threat to a country's security at all?
