Oh Now Linda Sarsour shows her moral compass

Dear Dr Pipes,

Good times come when Islam is in the news. In those times hypocrites stand up and identify themselves in public. I had the fortune to hear the video Linda Sarsour's speech delivered in in one of the recent women's marches. And, indeed Linda Sarsour, literally came out screaming and self-identifying herself as a hypocrite. You see, Ms Sarsour, had the guts to use the word 'moral compass' in her speech and claim that she was the moral compass. She asserted boldly that she belonged to the majority. She screamed loudly that, most of all, she stood with the Palestinian women 'who lived in the occupied territory'. I am still wondering where was Ms Sarsour's moral compass lost when the Yezidi women were being subjugated as sex slaves or just being killed.

Yesterday I wrote a letter to your blog in which I sarcastically said that if American democracy were ever to be in danger, American Muslims will save it. Add Linda Sarsour to the long list of defenders of American democracy.

The framers of our constitution were humble people. They merely said that they wanted to make a 'more perfect union'. They probably knew that creating a 'perfect union' is not humanly possible.

But I have a good news. American Muslims will succeed in creating a perfect democracy in the USA and when they are done doing that, they will spend all their time and attention to create a perfect democracy in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the like. Insha Allah.
