Dear Dr Pipes,
Your reader Michael S's analysis of Trump's decision to attack Syria is very plausible and Michael is right about Trump not seeking a second term. What makes me happy about Trump's decision to attack the airbase in Syria is that President Trump has shown his ability to change when the facts of the situation change. Mr Trump attacked Syria for the right reason.
He took a principled stand and he punished the people who killed their own people. The culture of violence within the Islamic world needs to be challenged. Trump did it and I admire it.
