What do you think of Trump now?Reader comment on item: Trump's Recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's Capital – What Does It Mean? Submitted by Leon Kushner (Canada), Dec 11, 2017 at 11:29 Daniel you've made it clear in the past that you despise Trump. We both know that had either Hillary or Bernie won the election, neither would have either recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital (not in a million years) or reset the Iran deal. He's not a perfect man (who is?) but he's got balls and the right instincts. He pushed past his inner circle and the antisemitic State Department to do both of these momentous achievements. So what do you think of him now? Any change of heart? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: My problems are less with Trump's policies, which are mixed, than with his personality, which is dangerous. I applaud him when he does well and condemn him when he does badly. Reader comments (56) on this item |
