Allah Moses and al-FurqanReader comment on item: Trump's Recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's Capital – What Does It Mean? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Dec 16, 2017 at 08:30 Hi Mike You might be interested in reading this study by Fred Donner about the Quranic Furqan The word Furqan (The title of Sura 25) is not an Arabic word and it is a loan word from Syriac and it means salvation Donner believes that there was no battle of Badr and that the Qur'an is talking about the Exodus and that Q17:1 is also about the Exodus and it has nothing to do with Muhammad flight on a winged mule If you need to check Syriac words in the article use this very good translation tool http://www.lexilogos.com/english/syriac_dictionary.htm As for Arabic al-maany is a very good dictionary for both modern as well as classical/Quranic Arabic It also provides translations https://www.almaany.com/ What is most surprising about the Qur'an is Allah's preoccupation with the Jews and the fact that his favorite prophet's name Muhammad is only mentioned 4 times in the Quran and it makes us wonder why is that? No doubt Allah is a Zionist Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
