President Trump's Pragmatic ApproachReader comment on item: The US-Israel Honeymoon May Not Last Submitted by David Faulkner (United States), Feb 15, 2018 at 11:51 As you point out at the end of your article, you've been wrong about President Trump in the past and you hope you are wrong on this topic. I believe you are wrong. President Trump is very pragmatic and understands the world (i.e. other countries/peoples) as they truly are and not based on psychotic liberal wishful thinking. Based on my personal experience, I believe President Trump will remain as a staunch ally of Israel. As he stated, his recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and the movement of the US Embassy to Jerusalem is based on recognizing the "truth" of the situation. I can assure you that President Trump also recognizes that the Palestinian Issue is not real, but a made up issue that has been used by Muslim states as a cudgel against the State of Israel. If Mahmoud Abbas thinks that he has a winning argument to achieve greater accommodations for the Palestinians, he will be sorely disappointed. I recommend you take a more positive and trustful approach toward President Trump and don't waste your time with the old political tactics used in the past. There is a new Sheriff in Washington and his thought processes are not related to the old school political approach.
