Israel's Security vs Trump's NarcissismReader comment on item: The US-Israel Honeymoon May Not Last Submitted by Dave (United States), May 7, 2018 at 11:15 While it's excellent that the US is moving the embassy to Jerusalem, the repercussions of that gesture will wear off in time, unlike any permanent territorial concessions that Israel may be obliged to make as part of a deal. That's why Israel must not let the current euphoria influence her negotiating strategy; her neighbors will still be there long after Trump is gone. President Trump may view the peace process as a real estate deal, but, knowing him, he also may be placing himself in the center of it and imagine that Israel is negotiating with him as much as with the Palestinians. That would hardly be surprising given his outsized ego. Israel needs to discount Trump's psychology and cooly focus on her future. Submitting....
