Peace Plans - since Carter have all failedReader comment on item: Reservations about the Trump Peace Plan Submitted by Darlene Casella (United States), Jan 30, 2020 at 09:47 While I join Daniel Pipes' friends in delight at the prospects of successful peace talks, doubt weighs heavy. Daniel illustrates the continued flaw in decades of failed peace talks. That is that Palestinians do not want peace; they want an end to Israel. The fact that the 15 year leader of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, refused to even take President Trump's phone call; and called him the son of a dog is very telling. Abbas's mentor, Yasser Arafat, participated in "peace talks'; but was no more interested in peace than is Abbas. It might take a significant event to cause the Palestinians to accept defeat, and realize that Israel will not be destroyed, but will prevail.
