If you had read the poem, you could have totted up how many of Kipling's admonitions Trump has violated so often and so systematically as to show that Trump exemplifies the very opposite of the mentality advocated by Kipling. For instance, says Kipling, if you are "lied about, don't deal in lies." If you are "hated, don't give way to hating." And, above all, if you lose "never breathe a word about your loss." Trump was moaning about his impending loss months before it happened, he has moaned about it ever since it happened, and he will moan about it for the rest of his life.
