Still think the word "mob" is a bit over dramatic
Reader comment on item: "Republican Mob" Was Once an Oxymoron, Now It's a Reality

I'm a conservative independent as well. But to call that geriatric crowd that "stormed" (liberal news' word) the capitol a "mob" is a huge exaggeration. Were the BLM protestors ever referred to as as mob? Even once? How about the protestors from Trump's 2016 inauguration? How about the Antifa protestors in Portland and Seattle on Biden's Inauguration Day? Now THOSE were "mobs!"

My article refers to the leftist mobs. Yeah, sure, that's the Left. But the rightist mob is what concerns me personally.
And I sent off that article with that headline before the Jan. 6 ransacking began. The attack on Capitol Hill only turned a metaphor into a literal reality.
