You know what I always say!Reader comment on item: The Key Issue of Hamas vs. Israel Submitted by There is NO Santa Claus (United States), Jun 2, 2021 at 22:07 TINSC: "It's always the stinkin' money!" Nothing today is the same as 20 years ago. Today, the world's largest corporations have Trillions of dollars invested in Israel. The Jewish State now supplies the global supply chain with critical components. Israel is (and has been for several years) the single largest engine of economic growth in the Middle East. Nobody is going to let a bunch of juvenile delinquents shut down the Jewish State's economy. The diplomats will hem and haw. Politicians will say things. The Leftists will demonstrate. Nobody will actually DO anything. In fact, most will be resigned to letting Israel protect itself as this protects the enormous financial investment corporations have made. If a Western leader actually does something to prevent Israel from defending itself, that leader may well get a direct telephone call from the CEO of a major corporation whose revenues exceed that country's GDP. Now, Arab League nations like the UAE have poured substantial investments into the Jewish State; much to the benefit of their nations. They are not going to stop the Jewish State from protecting their assets. It's a whole new ballgame, folks! The Palestinian Arab national movement is finished! The news media doesn't want you to know that. Instead of nation-building and providing a fertile investment climate, Palestinian Arabs have invested everything into anti-Semitism in the hope that someone will "destroy Israel for them". Einsteins definition of insanity: "Doing the same thing over and over again; expecting a different result." For over twenty years, the world has been treated to Islamic tyranny on a scale that makes any claim (real or imagined) against Israel seem trivial. With over 250,000 dead in the Syrian/Iraqi civil war and over 2 Million refugees, the notion that Israel is the region's biggest problem is easily dismissed. There are border disputes all over the world. There are refugee problems of tremendous scale in the Arab League States. There is no shortage of tyranny, injustice and discrimination to be found in Arab League States. Moreover, the order of magnitude of these problems are well known to the public regardless of the media's deliberate attempts to demonize the Jewish State. Petroleum doesn't hold the political leverage it once did. Americans have learned to work at home without driving to work. This has been facilitated by technology and supply chain components made in the Jewish State. Even Saudi Arabia is dependent on Israeli technological components in the supply chain that keeps their revenue stream (i.e. crude oil) flowing. The Palestinians are now placed directly in the path blocking economic growth and progress. Hamas, Fatah, it doesn't matter. They're finished! For years, Israel has been operating without a ruling coalition; no government. In spite of that, the economy chugs along. The Arab tyrants who rule their nations with a compulsive need for control must be wondering in their minds: "How do they do it?" The Jewish State is no longer a developing nation of collective farms. It is an industrial, economic powerhouse. The UN, US, "Quartet" etc. can no longer treat Israel like a child that can be scolded and spanked into submitting to the will of Arab tyrants (Palestinian or otherwise). Attempt to do so are now revealing themselves to be ineffective and useless as the Jewish State's economy becomes an integral part of the global technology supply-chain. The playing field of "the game" has changed. Israel is an "adult nation". Those who thought they could stop this progress are slowly but surely coming to grips with the basic reality of Israel's existence. It's no longer a matter of Israel's "right to exist". Like it or not, Israel exists. It was always thus, but now it is more obvious than ever. Challenges still remain. That is for sure! Yet the notion that anyone's self-interest is served by destroying the Jewish State is quickly being reduced to only the most hardened anti-Semites. The time for the Jewish State's final victory in the War Against Israel has finally arrived. . Sincerely, There is NO Santa Claus (aka TINSC) Submitting....
