Hamas in Gaza Entails Viuctory for IsraelReader comment on item: Poll: Israelis Want Victory, Preferably without Paying the Price Submitted by Robert (United States), Jun 11, 2021 at 14:08 I disagree with you that an Israeli Victory requires an Israeli invasion and Conquest of Gaza. Quite the opposite. (1) As long as Hamas rules Gaza there ill not be a recognition of Israel, so that Israel ill not need to give up land for a Palestinian state. (2) Israel is working on a Laser Weapon; within a year or 2 it ill have developed it. With that in it's arsenal the Efficiency and Cost will significantly improve. Just as Israel eliminated the military value of Gaza Tunnels, so will be the case with all air-born objects launched from Gaza. (3) It is not Gaza's Hamas, but the PLO, Fatah, and the PA, under Abbas which is strategically significant to Israel's Victory. And Abbas is Old and discredited, as are the organizations under him. Unfortunately for the Palestinians, the World, the UN, the EU, and everyone else but the Muslim Terrorists, have no choice but to deal with these DE JURE Authorities. Already, Egypt has stopped its negotiation because Abbas said "no" to the deal mediated by Cairo with Hamas relating to its reconstruction. (4) I hypothesize that you wish a "quick" Victory. But I believe time is always on the side of Israel. And I don't know what inferences you have drawn from the Arab Spring. I see LAND for homes for Palestinian Refugees in at least SYRIA. And everywhere in which they currently reside. They (the Palestinians) are no longer the only "suffering" Arab Refugees. In fact, they have it quite well in comparison to all the "newer" Arab refugees. And that certainly should put less pressure on Israel to "solve" the Palestinian Refugee Problem. (5) Did someone not say that "war is diplomacy by other means"? I think Victory for Israel does not require War, at which Israel always ultimately excels. It is all non-military or police activities which is required of Israel. Improving the lives of Arabs - as the Trump administration envisioned the situation - is the correct Strategic approach. And that means NOT invading Gaza by Israel and toppling it's regime. Abbas is the one responsible for governance in Gaza. And the longer he messes up, the greater the Victory for Israel. So I do not think that the PRICE which foresee - Israeli casualties - is the way to go. In fact, you very recently wrote an article about the fact the Palestinian Arabs, as Muslims, will never acknowledge an Israeli Victory. So why even wast any Israeli soldiers' lives?

I do not recall writing that it does. Reader comments (29) on this item
