Reader Ryan's observations have a resonating tone to them; history has demonstrated Murphy's law in world governmental extravagance of shifting power; and the paradigm that permitted America to be the pivotal force to straighten things out from 1898 until 1945 shifter again, for the lack of the resolve necessary to ensure that the alliances that started out with the German/Russian agreement before Stalingrad did not transmit its evil energy beyond VE day; Patton was not wrong; oh well.
What was, and had been lost for a very, very long time is that attempting to run the American republic as a quasi-democracy, in and of its internal battles to remain true to its ideals of being the land of the free and the brave; this is what is being 'transformed' in the 46th American Administrations regurgitation of the 44th's efforts to 'remake' America into an image no one will recognize and the Constitutional memory will be just that..
