what if leadership in Europe shifts to the EastReader comment on item: How Ukrainian Refugees Could Inadvertently Erase the West Submitted by myth (Germany), Jul 10, 2022 at 18:34 When Poland took in vast numbers of Ukranians they did take the leadership role in Europe. Many major countries followed. This may indicate the political leadership in Europe shifts to the East. Today Germany stands completely discredited. France is irrelevant. That shift of leadersip may entail a change across a wider spectrum of political questions beyond the Ukraine-war. What if the European policy on immigration from non-Europeans countries will follow the Polish or Hungarian "Weltanschauung" / point of view? If the Eastern-Europeans confront the EU-orthodoxy in a way they contront Russia I can see this shift happening. That means no re-run of the 2015 Merkel-style mass-immigration.
