I demurReader comment on item: How Ukrainian Refugees Could Inadvertently Erase the West Submitted by Kepha (United States), Jul 14, 2022 at 21:18 Having partly Chinese connections, I oppose both CRT and "racializing" the West's fight for survival. The openness of the West, and especially America's own honesty about its racism and honest, if not always successful, attempts to overcome that heritage are among the things that make the West attractive. Many who are not of European descent have embraced Western cultural products from science, classical music, and Evangelical Christianity to the rule of law ideal, ordered liberty, and respect for the unity of mankind. I believe horror at Putin's naked aggression and the attempts of people like Putin and Xi Jinping to revive 20th century totalitarianism drives a lot of sympathy for Ukraine.
