Thorough, LogicalReader comment on item: How Ukrainian Refugees Could Inadvertently Erase the West Submitted by David Ryan (Ireland), Jul 10, 2022 at 23:24 That's about all I have to say. There was one curious quote: Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emotionally pronounced that "This border is sacred. The border of the Polish state is not just a line on the map. Generations of Poles shed their blood for this border." Poles shed their blood for a number of borders over the centuries, including its eastern Brest-Litovsk border against Bolshevik invasion in 1918-1919. But Poland's current "sacred" border was dictated by Stalin in 1945. Poles have never had to defend the current border from anyone, unless you count Cold War Soviet hegemony.
