Stating the obvious and feeling like a foolReader comment on item: How Ukrainian Refugees Could Inadvertently Erase the West Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jul 10, 2022 at 19:45 Dear Dr Pipes, You cited many examples of the journalists and politicians who are seeing hypocrisy in the West's treatment of the Ukrainian refugees vs their treatment of the ME refugees. I would like to remind the Qatari foreign minister and our liberal thinkers who are lamenting West's treatment of the ME refugees that if the Arab world had even half as much emmpathy with her (so called) Palestinian Muslim brethren as the West has with their Ukrainian brothers, the Palestinian problem would have been solved 80 years ago. It is not that difficult: The area of KSA is nearly 100 time the are of Palestine. KSA can easy accommodate all Palestinians within her boundaries and save them from the IDF... Ironically, the West is showing empathy toward both the Ukrainians and Middle Easterners and the Islamic word is not showing any sympathy with either of the two. And, the liberals cannot see it.
