Iran's Generation Z and a Paradigm ShiftReader comment on item: A Century of the Muslim Brotherhood Submitted by Robert (United States), Oct 4, 2022 at 17:14 Islam and Islamism must be seen in Space and Time Regarding Space it means States or Countries (as in the UN), and Regions, Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. Regarding Time it means considering Demographic Cohorts, such as Generation Z. What we see today as Current Events in Iran is the Women and Girls of Generation Z demanding a Regime Change because they do not want to be killed for how they dress, and they see how other girls and woman outside Iran have it by circumventing the censorship of the Internet by the Theocracy of their Mullahs, This is so different from what is happening in the Orthodox Christian country of the Russian Federation today. You, Dr. Daniel Pipes, are educationally and temperately privileged to understand Islamic Iran. And I hope you can review the relevant work of your no less distinguished father, Richard Pipes who was an authority on Russia and the Soviet Union but unfortunately is no longer with us to explain Putin and the mind-set of the Russian People within the demographic cohort of Generation Z. Why is there no rebellion in Russia today? Why are the Russians only taking to desertion and running out of the country? What kind of Generation is this in Russia and why? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Thanks, but I had better stick to my expertise. Reader comments (55) on this item |
