We must all stand up for the truth!

I completely agree with all the points made by Daniel Pipes. But we cannot mention enough the fact that the truth is rarely told and is not told emphatically, that truth being that regimes that foster terrorism do so in order to divert their people from the harsh realities of their lives caused by their own corrupt leaders. On most American campuses, the causes of the misery of subjugated people is always the fault of the West and especially, the fault of Israel
Of course, our newspapers such as the New York Times, the Inquirer, and the Washington Post help to perpetuate these lies, and every utterance that is made against the US or israel is treated as if it is fact. Ted Koppel loves to praise the Palestinians when they riot because of their "terrible occupation" and was thrilled and sympathetic when they cheered the destruction of the world trade center, and the loss of so many American lives.
Terry Gross, on NPR never corrects outright lies about Israel., e.g. when she interviewed James Bennet, the jerusalem Bureau chief of the N.Y.Times and mentioned that Sharon going to the Temple mount"caused the 2nd intifada" when even the Palestinian leaders admitted it was fully planned long before Sharon, WITH permission, went there.
In short, on campus, and in newspapers and on TV the same lies are allowed to be spread, usually unchallenged, except by the very few such as yourself.
