Campuses must reclaim lost ideological ground

It is so very important to get the truth to college students. How this is going to be accomplished, is the question. I see anti-American sentiment on the campuses here in Washington, DC. There is an appalling lack of truthful information, and very little discussion beyond slogans about the efforts of the poor Palestinians and Moslems who must take back the land which has been "seized" from them, and must have more money so that they won't be as angry at us. Their "humiliation" is our fault! Political correctness on campus means these ideas are touted as facts.

Thanks for all your efforts. It is hard to find a better argument than you give for returning to responsible teaching.

Also, I watched PBS's program on Islam and was shocked at how they skimmed over the truth to emphasize the virtues of Mohammed and his religion. Even killing 700 Jews and taking their wives and children into slavery was glossed over as "definitely not anti-Semitic". The fact is that these Jews did not become Moslems, and that is why they were killed. Other than showing us a woman's unsuccessful efforts at divorcing her husband, this program showed Islam as wholly and perfectly fair.

Turkey's efforts to create a democratic government was shown as anti-Moslem. It was not made clear on this program that Islam requires Islamic governments, not democracies. Instead, the ousting from their congress of the woman with the headscarf was shown as unfair!
