War of Ideas on Campus

All you need to know about the decline of academia: Columbia College, where Lionel Trilling, Richard Hofstadter, F.W. Dupee and Charles Frankel taught when I was an undergraduate, now employs the likes of Eric Foner, Edward Said and Tom Paulin. Instead of learning to think critically, students are encouraged to suspend thought and toe the politically correct line. Critics are accused of Mc'Carthyism in order to stifle intellectual debate. Thank you Daniel Pipes for waging the good fight vs. these pseudo-scholars.
