Our Illiberal ArtsReader comment on item: How the West Could Lose Submitted by Homefront (Australia), Dec 27, 2006 at 21:14 Dr Pipes, The left wing's mythologising is as poignant and enlightening a marker of this age as Nero's fiddling whilst the city of Rome burnt thousands of years ago. Our society stinks of the pretension of a high minded elite divorced from the realities and exigencies of real life. These are the people who suppress news stories like the kidnap and rape of western women all over europe and charge those who protest against their demographically suicidal immigration policies under democracy defeating discrimination legislation. All they seem to see is that muslims vote left. And vote left they should because that way leadeth to islamification. Instead of the violent dystopic reality of the idiot overextension of multiculturalism that is the west today in the media we get the following: Syriana, a movie produced by left wing idiots for left wing idiots. More specifically a movie made by left wing idiots and a company from the Middle East. This details how since it would take killing too many people to restore order in the Middle East the U.S. (shame shame shame) propogates disorder as this facilitates a situation in which no cohesive bargaining can be managed by the OPEC countries on oil prices and thus they remain low. There are several problems with this that go beyond the simple fact that the failing American mission in Iraq is a desperate attempt to restore said order. Firstly OPEC nations have successfully overcome their differences to negotiate higher prices in the past. The price hikes of the 1970s are what Ba'at Yeor sees as the year zero of the Eurabia phenomenon. Such was the fear of pain in their domestic economies that the wise old men of Europe made a deal with the devil admitting the superiority of Arab culture and accepting colonists from nations filled with a people most hostile to their way of life. The phenomenon is unstoppable now. Look at the exile of Ayaan Hirst Ali from the Netherlands, the scrubbing of the sixth commandment "Thou Shalt not Kill" from a wall near the site of the murder of Theo Van Gogh simply because a Muslim group complained it was "racist". Conservative commentators like Mark Steyn focusing on politics and demography now say that Europe must either submit to Islam or peg its hopes on some unprecedented internal reformist movement gripping the medevilist cult. Either way the fate of europe is now controlled by Islam and this is a testament to the strength that the Islamic world has obtained simply by controlling a strategic energy resource. This reality contrasts starkly with the bizzare world view presented in Syriana. Secondly and perhaps most importantly, this movie ignores the very factors influencing the price of oil. Instability in the Middle East has marked some of the largest price hikes in the industry. It is probably the major reason for the continuation of the mission in Iraq. But again reality suggests and even demands that the most favorable political situation in the Middle East is one of stability at least in so far as oil prices are concerned. Once again a discrepancy between reality and hollywood reality. And one that of course must necessarily not favor the West in general and America specifically. Hollywood is "little Europe" embracing all of the nanny welfare statism, sacchirine sweet views of hostile migrants, glorification and dissemblage over so called "root causes" of terrorism (apart from the real cause "Islam") and politicially correct anti western cultural marxism that has destroyed that continent. It is the beach head of the invasion so to speak. And if you don't believe me lets consider item number 2. "V for Vendetta" is a Natalie Portman vehicle which is lionised by libertines and cultural marxists alike in the university community (and to add to my incentive to throw this movie in the trash I have had to endure endless hours of banal recounting of the poor dialogue spouted by Hugo Weaving). In this movie a Guy Falkes mask wearing terrorist takes on an alternate reality British government which has fascist pretensions the latter being in allegiance with a revived inquisitorial Anglican Church (run by a paedophile priest). Islam is outlawed, certain books and music are banned and the citizenry exist under conditions of permanent curfew. At night secret police called "fingermen" roam about enforcing the curfew and taking sexual liberties with females who are out too late (a fate which Hugo Weaving's terrorist "V" narrowly rescues Natalie Portman's character from). How very like today this movie is except that it has the wrong bad guys. The only "fingermen" I can think of are the marauding packs of Middle Eastern youths in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain and Australia. The Anglican church hung on its own absolute relativism hands over its churches to be used as community centers by new Islamic migrants (thus propagating a heresy - one wonders how the Anglicans can call themselves Christians anymore since they appear to be more like secular socialists). Only two million people are active in the congregations of this church. In fact all over the west the Christian religion is in decline which renders fatuous the notion America is in the grip of "theocons" or that any such powerful inquisitorial instrument of state could ever be forged out of Chrisitanity as happens in "V". Instead the great oppressor and the one which supports the hostile forces occupying the west can be found in Islamdom. Observe Sheik Taj Al Hilali of Sydney's Lakemba mosque and his support of the pack rapists who roamed Sydney with impunity for years before being prosecuted. He is the champion of our very own brand of "fingermen". In Europe the relationship between these Islamic religious leaders and the socialist leaders of the bodies politic are very similar to the "V" scenario. When conservatives raise the specter and issue of the dramatic increase in violent crime usually of a sexual nature against indigenous european women primarily because of an influx of migrants from Islamic North Africa the left hits back with criminal charges against the conservatives for "inciting hatred". Well hatred is already here and its being taught in every mosque and madrassa. The left nevertheless continues its war to control public perceptions rather than deal with underlying problems. Classing previously unacceptable behaviour as a necessary evil under the umbrella of Multiculturalism their feminists even engage in attempts to normalise this conduct. "Get used to it it's here to stay we" are told. In short there appears to be a tag team wrestling match in which the indigenous peoples of europe are raped first by their government then once the aforementioned has tapped out by the Islamic invasion forces. The final scene in "V for Vendetta" involves a large crowd all wearing signature Guy Falkes masks which storm the square outside Britain's Parliament house just before "V" blows it up - something Guy Falkes could not achieve. As an aside just how hosed the west is can be seen in the fact that the British Government cooperated in filming this scene. Is this not the very epitome of what Dr Pipes is referring to as "we have seen the enemy and the enemy is us"? In short we have a comprehensive white anting of the very institutions in this movie that are supposed to protect us from the tyranny that exists in "V". Our religion which would have given us some measure of protection from Islamic insanity and a collective center for our identities is gone. Our parliaments and congresses according to our mainstrem media are the conspiratorial root of all evil "The Protocols of the Elders of the American Republic" instead of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion". This sophisticated antiwestern propaganda finds a close companion in the state run TV programs of the Middle East which feature Jewish scientists removing the eyes of a young Palestinian girl for the purpose of experiments (and if you don't believe me look up Glenn Beck's "Exposed the Extremist Agenda" on You Tube). Or a rabbi slaughtering a Christian child to make Metza bread from his blood. They are taught to hate us with crude manipulations designed to cater to their simple intellects. In the west the media teaches us to hate ourselves with equal vigor but greater subtlety. It's implications for realpolitik in our countries are instructive. In America James Baker publishes a report on Iraq which represents more a political criticism of the Bush Administration with the next presidential elections in mind than actual constructive criticism of the war in Iraq. In Australia an SAS soldier turncoats and calls the Howard Government's war in Iraq immoral and only later do we learn he is in fact a candidate for the federal opposition. On this point since Sun Tzu in 500 B.C. and his book "The Art of War" - war has generally been thought of as immoral just necessary for the survival and the protection of the interests of the state so it is fatuous to call one war more or less moral than any other. And the survival and protection of the state has been proven consistently to be better than the alternative. And finally dying Europe feigns relevance on the global stage through its reflexive criticism of America which is perhaps more a Freudian manifestation of its malignant self hatred than any substantive political divergence with their cultural cousins. In their terror of the looming Islamic majority in several states they surrender all their cultural standards giving in and granting acceptance to polygamy, homophobia, antisematism, paedophilia and even female circumcision (the latter if Italy's example is followed elsewhere in Europe). They have even set aside Muslim only beaches in the Mediterranean returning to segregation so that the pure folk of the one true faith do not have to gaze upon or share sand with us filthy infidels. Christians pray for the end times seeing the "whore of Babylon" no longer in Iraq but in anti Christian Europe. The latter after all grants no status to Christians whereas ideally we would at least be second class citizens in the Islamic Ummah. In short providing a societies citizenry with a structure in which the individual is sovereign placed the burden of "eternal vigilance" upon the west and its governments. The slow infiltration of the distictlvely communist dogma of cultural relativism into our universities and islamofascism's looming total demographic, political and military victory demonstrate that we have traded delusion for clarity and failed to meet our own obligations in protecting our society. We retain still the pacifistic stupidity of "turning the other cheek" that our Christian forebears taught us without the security of community and the reproductive and stabilising institution of the family that Christianity gave us. If "Turning the other cheek" or the "Golden rule" "Do unto others" which is absent from Islam were part of the package of Christian values rejected by post Christian societies I wonder if truly there would be enough Muslims left alive to worry about? Dr Pipes then correctly highlights the three great deficiencies of western society: Complacency, Pacifism and Self-hatred. These make an interesting corollary to the Emperor Marcus Aurelius' virtues outlined in the movie Gladiator. Instead of the benchmark and ideal for our society Pipes characterisises the deficiencies that are presently crafting our doom. As a neoconservative watching the very fabric of the society which I dearly love die I long for the day when self destructive liberalism will end and we will finally grow out of being the flower children of the 1960s. It will happen inevitably either through voluntary acquiescence and my triumph or at the point of an Islamic AK-47. Cordially, Homefront.
