To Mo on Muslim and IslamReader comment on item: How the West Could Lose Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), Jan 28, 2007 at 02:47 PROMISCUOUS: characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, esp. having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis. Totally wrong Mo. Islam allows you to have four wives. Legalised promiscuity. Islam allows you to keep concubines. Wanton legalised promiscuity. Islam allows sex with captured women even if their husbands were alive. Abominable legalised promiscuity and sex on a casual basis. The poor doctor was only trying to help the woman, not have sex with her. Not the fault of Islam? Which religion planted such outrageous thoughts in the mind of that Muslim. For Muslims if some muslim does something they do not like, and clearly indicates that he is doing it for Islam, it is not the fault of Islam. But let a Christian or person of any other faith commit a crime then it becomes the fault of that religion. Hitler never claimed he was acting for Christianity. Yet Muslims claim Christianity is to blame for Nazism. Bin Laden proclaims from his cave tops he is acting for Islam and moderate Muslims claim Islam should not be faulted. Mo, have you heard of what happened when a fire broke out at a Saudi girls school. The girls rushing out were sent back in because they did not have the good sense to respect those Islamic gender values by searching for their abayas in the inferno before coming out in public.Exposing their faces to lecherous males eyes in public would be a promiscous act. Many died. It is not the fault of Islam but the girls' for not respecting Islamic values. The sensitivities surrounding gender relations in Islam are indeed sublime! "You talk about Muslims persecuting Christians, is that something Muslims should be doing? I don't think so..." You don't think so? Read the pact which is attributed to Caliph Omar, but was probably put together by later Islamic jurists, and tell us if sounds like persecution or not. We heard from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam [died 78/697] as follows: When Umar ibn al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, accorded a peace to the Christians of Syria, we wrote to him as follows: In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate. This is a letter to the servant of God Umar [ibn al-Khattab], Commander of the Faithful, from the Christians of such-and-such a city. When you came against us, we asked you for safe-conduct (aman) for ourselves, our descendants, our property, and the people of our community, and we undertook the following obligations toward you: We shall not build, in our cities or in their neighborhood, new monasteries, Churches, convents, or monks' cells, nor shall we repair, by day or by night, such of them as fall in ruins or are situated in the quarters of the Muslims. We shall keep our gates wide open for passersby and travelers. We shall give board and lodging to all Muslims who pass our way for three days. We shall not give shelter in our churches or in our dwellings to any spy, nor bide him from the Muslims. We shall not teach the Qur'an to our children. We shall not manifest our religion publicly nor convert anyone to it. We shall not prevent any of our kin from entering Islam if they wish it. We shall show respect toward the Muslims, and we shall rise from our seats when they wish to sit. We shall not seek to resemble the Muslims by imitating any of their garments, the qalansuwa, the turban, footwear, or the parting of the hair. We shall not speak as they do, nor shall we adopt their kunyas. We shall not mount on saddles We shall not engrave Arabic inscriptions on our seals. We shall not sell fermented drinks. We shall clip the fronts of our heads We shall always dress in the same way wherever we may be, and we shall bind the zunar round our waists We shall not display our crosses or our books in the roads or markets of the Muslims. We shall use only clappers in our churches very softly. We shall not raise our voices when following our dead. We shall not show lights on any of the roads of the Muslims or in their markets. We shall not bury our dead near the Muslims. We shall not take slaves who have beenallotted to Muslims. We shall not build houses overtopping the houses of the Muslims. (When I brought the letter to Umar, may God be pleased with him, he added, "We shall not strike a Muslim.") We accept these conditions for ourselves and for the people of our community, and in return we receive safe-conduct. If we in any way violate these undertakings for which we ourselves stand surety, we forfeit our covenant [dhimma], and we become liable to the penalties for contumacy and sedition. Umar ibn al-Khittab replied: Sign what they ask, but add two clauses and impose them in addition to those which they have undertaken. They are: "They shall not buy anyone made prisoner by the Muslims," and "Whoever strikes a Muslim with deliberate intent shall forfeit the protection of this pact." from Al-Turtushi, Siraj al-Muluk, pp. 229-230. It is made to look as though the dhimmis themselves wrote it. If they did, then can you see the sword hanging over their heads when they wrote it.A question to you, do you recognise the many killings and persecution of the Muslims in western countries by your fellow Christian cousins? You seem to identify a few black sheep from the Muslim quarter; do you at all identify your own, or is this just a way thing? How many incidents can you point to of killings of Muslims in western countries based on their religious belief. Another thought experiment. If the Christian countries opened up immigration from Muslim countries and Muslim countries opened up immigration from Christian countries which countries' consulates will have no work. Muslims being killed in Christian lands? Don't fool yourself Mo. Imagine if the Copts of Egypt bombed Cairo railway station. Imagine the Christians of Pakistan send a suicide bomber into Karachi airport. Nothing has happened to Muslims in Christian countries whereas Muslims have battered Christians in their own lands.Think of what Muslims did in Christian lands because of those ridiculous cartoons. . , nor shall we gird swords nor bear any kind of arms nor carry them on our- persons. Now on to the reports, PARIS; we know that there exist sensitivities surrounding gender relations in Islam; no man is allowed to physically touch, socialise or anything of that nature with other women; zero promiscuity. With this in mind, some men can get confrontational when a situation arrives where a man sees what should be strictly concealed. Now it is not the fault of Islam that the gynaecologist was assaulted, rather it the fault of the man for allowing a male to proceed as the gynaecologist.
