A waste? In your case, definitely!!!Reader comment on item: How the West Could Lose Submitted by Sword of Islam & The Babies of Beslan (United Kingdom), Jan 29, 2007 at 20:41 Submitted by Infidel, Jan 29, 2007 at 00:09 " I spent months reading; From Time Immemorial 440 pages by Joan Peters, The Middle East 387 pages by Bernard Lewis, and History of Israel 1020 pages by Howard Sachar. All wasted time and effort" "Along comes Sword of Islam & The Babies of Beslan; he reads two pages from the Internet and again proves me wrong." - One of which was authored by Howard Sachar. Case closed It seems more likely that you spent that time counting the pages rather than reading the actual content of these books. Who takes months to read just 2000 pages???? Who actually goes to the trouble of actually logging the number of pages in their literature unless they have learning difficulties? Do you no longer take Howard Sachar seriously now that you have been provided with direct quotes from him that refute some of the many bogus historical claims that you have cited? If you have a point that extends beyond a childish tantrum you'll need to be a bit clearer on the subject if you can. You have been irrefutably been proven wrong on numerous occasions by third party historical sources. Regrettably, when Infidel's many inaccurate historical points are shot down he/she invariably provides the same reading list (this is at least the third instance!) rather than a direct rebuttal with substantiated fact. Weak, very weak, especially when one of the self-same authors also disagrees with him!! He/she also has that Muslim inability to respond to a direct question with anything other than evasion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Infidel, Nov 29, 2006 at 02:00 "The League of Nations did give Britain the mandate to administer the settling of Israel by the Jews; however Britain formed a strong friendship with the Sultan of Saudi Arabia and allocated Transjordan to his brother" Maybe in a parallel universe. Sharif Hussein ibn Ali led the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans during WWI. He was promised that his efforts on behalf of the allies would be rewarded with an Arab empire. His son Abdullah was therefore the first ruler of Jordan. The Saudis were a completely different rival tribe who were bitter enemies. Not even cousins. Let alone brothers. What was the Jewish contribution, if any, to the overthrow of the Turks, and the liberation of Palestine from Ottoman rule? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Infidel, Jan 17, 2007 at 23:07 The Jews did not invade Israel or Palestine, as their forefathers have lived there continuously from time immemorial. Beginning in 1890 AD, many Jews began returning to Israel, based on a promise that they could have their own home land, but they never displaced anyone. 1928 "On the basis of this elaborately delimited format, Samuel's administration laid the groundwork for general elections. A census was taken, revealing a population of 650,000 Moslems, 87,000 Jews, and 73,000 Christians. " Howard M. Sachar Interesting to note that this indigent Jewish population were Orthodox Jews and had lived in peace with the Arabs for centuries. This segment of the current Jewish population are among the most vehement anti-Zionist groups on the planet! Zionism has mainly been the preserve of the new arrivals rather than those who have actually lived there for many generations Is it true that Avraham Stern & his gang offered to fight for Hitler in 1940 against Britain in exchange for his support of a Jewish state? Be grateful for the 10% that we were kind enough to give you through no effort of your own. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submitted by Infidel, Nov 29, 2006 at 02:00 Thus within a short period of time, the Arab population exceeded the population of the Jews. According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, the Arab/Jewish components of the population are split into a ration of roughly 50/50. Just as it was in 1950. Just three years after the British withdrew having conquered the territory, been the driving force behind the idea of a Jewish state & having givenit to the Jews. Regrettably, the British failed to exterminate the indiginous Arab population and put a ribbon and a pretty little bow on their gift which the Jews played no part in winning from the Muslims. Rather than be grateful for their new home we are treated to yet more bleating about the the fact that it is not 'big' enough! Without the British, the Jews would have 0% of Palestine. Fact. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is interesting for me to look back over the past year of my contributions to this forum. I have gone from a vehement anti-Muslim, staunchly pro Zionist to a vehemently anti-Muslim, occasionally anti-Zionist contributor. Ignorance is a blot on humanity and over this past year it has become apparent that the militant Muslim is no better nor worse than the vehement Zionist in terms of obfuscation of facts and blatant falsehoods. You're as bad as each other and consequently do as much to alienate non-partisan opinion as a Muslim ever could! Counting pages and reading pages are very different pastimes!
