Michel...er...I mean Plato, you have so much to learn! You wrote:

It never rubbed off on me. I've known that the spoils of war go to the victor long before I even knew about Islam.

There's a huge mistake in your argument. I am not advocating going to war with Islam in order to seize oil. I am advocating going to war to defeat an evil ideology. That is not "simply killing for booty". If the Muslims were civilized, I would not be endorsing seizing the oil during a war with them. However, they have declared war on us, they are using oil as a weapon (oil that we gave them the ability to access). Hence, to the victors of the war go the spoils.

"They can't eat the oil, but they can use it to power their power stations, their vehicles into the indefinite future. "

If they cannot sell it, they go broke and cannot afford power stations and vehicles.

"Now we know why you won't let the ME countries have it. America is #1 consumer of oil. You need more and more to feed your SUVs and MUVs. You're clearly insane if you believe that my views towards Islam are predicated on obtaining oil. I have been complaining about our oil dependance for decades now. I have criticized the USA and its presidents for failing utterly to wean us off foreign oil dependance. Remember that post I made to you...er...I mean Michel? About how each president going back to Nixon at least has failed to get us off the oil addiction? I don't want Middle Eastern oil, I want us to be free of oil dependance.

Once again you make absurd and derogatory claims with nothing to back them up.

Plato, it's been proven that you cannot engage with the rest of us in intelligent debate. You have nothing to offer other than snotty remarks, lies, and distortions. I challenge you to find a post made by me where I said that the reason we should be going after Islam is because we need their oil. I'll save you the trouble...I never said that. You are dishonest, you are a liar, you are a propagandist and nothing more.

My sole reason for engaging in war with Islam is to deprive them of the ability to destroy my culture and my country via terrorism and other methods. Ban, deport, isolate, and deter via the threat of nuclear annihilation. If they want to sell us oil, fine. If not, we get it elsewhere, we learn to stop driving those ridiculous gas guzzling SUVs, we start developing electric cars and alternative energy, as we should have been doing for the last 50 years at least. I have never advocated going to war for the purpose of grabbing oil.

To some degree that is true. We developed their oil machinery, we gave them the know how and the technology. Oil is a world resource and should not be controlled by a handful of hateful fanatics who use it as a weapon. Perhaps it should be put under the control of a world body (not the UN though) who can administer it properly and not use it for blackmail. If the Muslims try to use it for blackmail, then that would be an act of war, and I believe we are in that case justified in seizing it.

Oh well Plato, you've proven yourself as worthless a poster as Michel. Er...wait, that's a redundancy. Since all you do at this point is spew snotty remarks onto the forum, I'm going to just ignore you until you can come up with an actual question, an honest debate, or something of substance. Because right now you're just babbling. I'll keep an eye on your posts, but don't expect a reply until you can come up with an honest and interesting rebuttal instead of whining about Native Americans and oil lies.
