Another Muslim who can't back his claimsReader comment on item: How the West Could Lose Submitted by Noah Wilk (United States), Feb 22, 2007 at 06:43 Mythological...er...I mean, Moderate Muslim wrote: "What the heck makes you guys qualified to judge the righteousness of Muslims in regard to their faith." Studying the history of Islam, watching the behavior of Muslims worldwide, observing how Islam affects those unfortunate areas of the world in which it is dominant, etc. "I will shut up the second you guys get a degree in comparative religion." Do you have a degree in comparative religion? I thought not. One does not require a degree in comparative religion to study the history of Islam, read the Koran and Hadith, deal with Muslims first-hand, observe the daily actions (or as the case may be, inactions) of Muslims, and watch how Islam affects every area it spreads to. "You guys don't understand that moderate Islam is true Islam, this horse crap put out by psychos in the mountains is not." If that's true, then why don't you do what no other Muslim who's been challenged on this website has done? Prove it! Show us where this mass movement of reform minded Muslims exists and takes action. Show us how Jordanian Muslims are peace-loving people when 88% of them polled favor violence. In other words, put up or shut up. Nobody is interested in false claims lacking proof. "The prophet Muhammed (pbuh) allowed people freedom of religion." Right. Like when he offered the Jews in Medina a chance to convert to Islam, and when they declined, he had them beheaded, thrown into mass graves, and then raped their wives and enslaved their children. I have a news flash for you. That's not freedom of religion. "YOU GUYS HAVE TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT IT FAIRLY AND SEE THAT YOUR VIEW OF ISLAM IS BEING DISTORTED BY WACKOS." If that's true, then surely you can explain to us why, when polled, 88% of Jordanian Muslims favor violence? And surely you can explain how a tiny minority of "whackos" can overwhelm 1.2 billion pacifists? Or perhaps you can explain why, when given a chance to denounce terror and call for reform (even in Western countries), less than one ten-thousanth of one percent (0.0001%) of Muslims ever gather to do so? Like I said, you Muslims make flagrant claims with nothing to back it up. "Most Muslims around the world are peaceful, and most strongly condemn terrorism." Really? So how do you explain the fact that when rallies are held for Muslims in order to denounce terror, less than one ten-thousanth of one percent show up to do so? Surely, if they're all so peaceful, we'd see them having massive parades to denounce the terrorists. Why is it that we only see them out in force (in the thousands, or tens of thousands) to praise terror attacks and to mourn slain terrorists? Again, your claim falls flat on its face when exposed to the light of reality. "Most muslims would have a terrorist arrested if they met them" Really? So explain to us how all those known terrorists walk about freely in Muslim society, and why the masses of peace-loving Muslims don't just grab them on sight and hand them over to the authorities? Why then do these peace-loving Muslims give money to CAIR, Hamas, and other terrorist groups instead of sending their money to the authorities to help close down the terror networks? Why then have Muslims elected terrorist groups to office, instead of reform-minded Muslims who openly denounce terror? Once again, your claim is absurd, unrealistic, untrue, and ridiculous. "most Muslims have non-Muslim friends" Really? So that's why the so-called Palestinians have decided that no Jews will be allowed to live in their second state ("Palestine") if (God forbid) they should ever be allowed a second state? Will all those peace-loving Muslims refuse to live in Palestine and move out since they cannot have Muslims friends there? And perhaps you can explain to me why, in my dealings with Muslims and their children, they have (to a person) been xenophobic and racist while refusing to allow their children to associate with non-Muslims? Can you explain why the Koran warns Muslims against having non-Muslim friends? "It is BS to say that the dictators of the Middle East and the men in the mountains are the true Muslims, and the rest of us, 85% according to Mr.Pipes, are unbelievers who are not following the divine path correctly." Explain then how those few dictators and those few mountain men have been able to overpower 1.2 billion peace loving Muslims and hijack their religion? Explain why we see no massive movement of that majority of peace loving Muslims reclaiming their religion from the corrupting few? Explain why the billion peace loving Muslims out there have not only not deposed terrorist leaders like Amdamanjihad in Iran, the Saudis in Saudi Arabia, Hamas in the Gaza Strip, etc. I'm hearing lots of lofty claims from you. Will you be the first Muslim on this forum to actually back his absurd claims (which contradict physical reality and history) with facts, or shall we just dismiss you as another propagandist and be done with it? I'll bet my life savings that you're not going to be able to answer (satisfactorily) even a single one of my challenges.
