Let the Arabs rot...Reader comment on item: My Testimony before the House Subcommittee on Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations Submitted by Linda Moore (United States), Feb 26, 2007 at 12:17 There will never be any negotiating with the Arabs. And why should Israel bother to negotiate with unwilling partners? Or bother fighting with them? It is time to move on... I believe that the best and easiest thing Israel can do is to establish it's own boundaries, through continued construction of the wall, to include all areas heavily populated by Israelis, and yes, incorporating some Arab-populated land, if such is deemed necessary to Israel's security. At that point, Israel should simply withdraw from whatever is left of the West Bank, and this, whether they like it or not, will be the Arab "Palestine". I believe this must and should be done despite European / Arab objections, and as quickly as possible. What will the Europeans do? Squawk a bit, the U.N. will pass another anti-Israel resolution (ho-hum) and that's about it. The Arabs will squawk louder, threaten a lot (more ho-hum) and attacks will increase somewhat - but will be much less successful because the wall has proven to be an effective barrier. At that point, except for the inevitable attacks, which I have no doubt Israel can easily repel, Israel should just "get on with life" - i.e., ignore the Arabs as much as possible. Way too much time, thought and expense has already gone into to trying to appease and cater to these purveyors of hate - enough already! The Arabs will flounder, of course, and stupidly attack Israel even more strongly, but at this point Israel will defend itself fully and without compromise, even if it means retaliating against civilian populations, if the Arabs' attacks originate from there. With no discussion, concessions, compromise or contact, In the end, the Arabs must inevitably accept Israel's existence and the only options left to them will be to rot or build their own country.
