concerned citizenReader comment on item: "A Shot at Peace" Submitted by B.R bradshaw (United States), Jul 9, 2003 at 15:57 Mr. pipes i must say you are a very sharp man, and i have the utmost repect for you. but as far as the road map is concerned it is a falure. 1. you can not pay a terrorist organization 200 million dollars a year to be a good boy. that dog just doesnt hunt in my book. 2. a terrorist is a terrorist , and that is what arafat is, and his organization. if we are to help Israel then we as americans need to support Israel in cleaning house. as did we in Iraq along with the our allies. 3. if the PLO doesnt want to live in peace in the state of Israel, leave plain and simple. or be disarmed by the IDF. i am sure the rest of the arab nations will take them in, for they are their brothers. We as americans live with all races, religons. Israel is no different, either you accept the laws of the state,( or country which ever may apply.) or move out. unless we as people of the world think the palistinians are not smart enough to get the picture. they are living in someone else's country, or state, how plainer can it get. and i agree with you Mr. pipes, until the PLO and its terrorist network accept Israel as a governing state, or country. there will be no peace, no matter how much money the U.S pays them.
