Democratizing Islam

The conflict between Israel and the the PLO Arabs, cannot be resolved by any type of Westernized territorial plan, such as The Road Map. What we have here is conflict that has nothing to do with territorial boundaries or the creation of another Arab state. What we do have is a clash between Islam and Judaism, in which the Arab views Israel as Little Satan and the Jew as an inferior being, whose status, at best, can only be subjugation. What else could account for the vile, anti-Jewish statements and caricatures (remiscent of Nazi Germany) that regularly appear in Egypt's government controlled news media? This is a country which signed a peace treaty with Israel. What else explains the scornful hatred in other Arab states surrounding Israel, such as Jordan, who also signed a peace treaty with Israel, and where a Jew is forbidden to own property. The war between Islam and Judaism is out in the open; the sooner that America, and Israel, adopt a strategy based on acceptance of this unpleasant truth, the better the outcome.
