UnbelievableReader comment on item: Keeping Muslim Girls under Wraps in France Submitted by Ishan Almazi (Australia), Aug 11, 2007 at 18:57 I find it hard to fathom that there is so much corruption inside so many countries. It truly is a slap in the face for me to hear that a parent would restrict their children as such. Never have I ever been restricted by my parents, and personally i think that this spreading corruption is coming from the ideologies of the people rather than the ideologies of the Muslim religon. Some factors of my religon are outdated, sure, i would mind at all if hejabs were to be stopped. The reason why they were put in place was to protect girls and women, but now it looks like it's hurting them more, so it would be a better idea to remove them. Majority of females in Bangladesh don't wear hejabs anyway, our religon has been so misinterpreted.
