ZIONISM BLEAK PRESENT

DEAR DANIEL,

I read your article as well as some of the attachments, and 'bleak' is not a strong enough word to describe what is going on.

Anyone from another planet reading this will conclude,:Well who needs Israel? All it does is cause problems if not to others, to themselves since so many among the Jews are not in favor of what is taking place. so let us get rid of Israel and everyone will be happy. Indeed they are so much a minority in that map that they represent nothing but a thorn in a bush, and we all get rid of a thorn that embarasses us.

I write this against my own values and principles for I am a Jew, maybe not a devout Zionist, but nevertheless a Jew and will certainly not approve the destruction or disappearance as some wish, of Israel.

We have been for decades at least trying to solve the issue and I wonder if we moved by a centimetre, let alone an inch.

Yes, every common sense person will try to convince us that DIPLOMACY --the art of negotiations between governmments-- is the only answer to arrive to a solution. So...has it worked so far, for I beleive a lot of that has taken place. I am sad to say that to negotiate, we need at least TWO parties and it looks to me that we have always been missing a party, thus negotations led nowhere. And as long as Two cannot sit to talk, nothing will happen.

I am sad to believe and think that the missing party has been the ARAB party and nothing can happen if he is not part of the picture since he is very much involved. He probably does not care , thus his lack of interest in maintaining a conversation. The ARAB and probably rightfully so has all the time in the world in his hands. If not today, tomorow, if not this year next year, meantime he is getting more numerous and more dangerous. He knows he is someone to reckon, someone to eventually respect since he feels that all along he has not been respected, and that for 600 to 700 years.

Do I put myself in his place to understand that? Yes...But where does it lead me? The very existence of Israel is threatened . Am I to stay calm and wait . NO, and this is what DANIEL PIPES is doing, he is our torch to show us the way, to warn us of what is ahead

We need more than ever to gather all our intelligence to persuade those involved in deciding what is good for them and for humanity, to come to terms once and for all before it is too late, and too late seems like tomorow.
