The Leader and MonsterReader comment on item: [Iraqi] WMD Lies Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Oct 8, 2003 at 21:51 As the monstrosity of Saddam's regime emerges so does the terrorists' willingness to allow a vile and murderous reign of terror to exist within their midst. The jihad in Iraq against the liberators is being fought in the name of Saddam who the Islamists admired. Remember, the terrorists never attacked Iraq when Saddam ruled because he was one of them. His murderous hatred for America and Israel and his thugish posturing made him a bell weather for the Islamists. It did not matter that he killed and tortured his own people, commited genocide on the Kurds, invaded and slaughtered Kuwait and impoverished his nation. Only his hatred of America and Israel mattered. In order to change the murderous destabilizing politics of the Middle East, we must be in the Middle East, the United Nations notwithstanding. If America and Israel are to survive together we must fight this war to end the jihad forever or the dogs of war will surely riot in our children's blood. Dr. Pipes' elegant argument for the Iraqi war is indisputable. His conclusion about the castrophe that will ensue if we do nothing should make us so uncomfortable as to force us to win the war declared upon us.
