about transcending mental slaveryReader comment on item: The Organization of the Islamic Conference Gets Feisty Submitted by G.Vishvas (India), Mar 31, 2008 at 21:05 respected mr. Curmally muslims have developed flattery as a way of life. anyone who is critical frightens you and you think the good guy is the one who flatters. your god expects flattery, your leaders expect flattery. that is not how I see the world. you cannot unilaterally decide whether you have practised dishonesty, hypocrisy, laziness and timidity or not. you have to seek a seond opinion - that too from someone who is not indebted to you in such a way as to be your lota or jiyala. whether I have been dishonest, timid, opportunistic etc. - that cannot be decided by me alone. i have to seek a second independent opinion. muslims as a collective lack this upbringing because islam means submission and that leads to mental slavery. it is not the first time that a muslim corresponding with me has resorted to this trick of soft-speak in order to block off criticism of islam and its inherent fascism. I am not a child to be fooled by such tricks. politeness coupled with tricks is not really politeness - it is a cheap way to try to silence the critic. if beliefs are wrong or backward-oriented then they have to be exposed - to call that badmouthing is an attempt to protect the beliefs. to be precise, it is you who is badmouthing me by accusing me of badmouthing when I am actually expressing a necessary criticism (may be in a language that is non-flattering and discomforting). islam is a fascist totalitarian imperialist ideology misusing the name of god. no amount of politeness or diplomacy by muslims or non-muslims will change that fact. There is a turkish saying: friend speaks bitter. A flatterer is never the true friend. Islam needs a lot of criticism – one who praises or protects islam is not the true friend of muslims. If you are living in a muslim collective then you can hardly be honest about islam's deficiencies. You have to compete with your muslim brothers to show off your love for islam and its allah and prophet. This is the compulsive psychology in a muslim society. It is islam that de facto treats muslims as maggots in a dead animal. I only exposed this fact. A fascist ideology treats its followers as maggots ina dead animal. Whether you have done all the transcending or not – even that is not something you can judge unilaterally. Islam does not allow open criticism of islam so how can a muslim claim to have transcended everything? How about transcending islam (=mental slavery) itself? genuine secularism = you criticise my religion and I accept it as an act of friendship from you and conversely. one who criticises is the real friend. pseudo-secularism = One does not want you to criticise his religion or he will call it blasphemy and kill you. only those who flatter are called friends. islam is incompatible with genuine secularism but compatible only with pseudo-secularism. muslims disappoint me through repeated hypocrisies and the inability to recognize hypocrisies.
