But then, deception is actually encouraged through the Quran. Muslims even use the term "Hudaibiya" for such deception--after incidents specifically involving the brigand they term as "prophet".

Mohammed signed a 10-year truce with leaders of his own tribe (Quraish) who would not accept him as a prophet, nor amongst their ranks--and then broke the treaty one year later, massacring these.
