When - Continued - The Timing of All Things in the Holy Bible Will Happen According to the WORD of the LORDReader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 15, 2008 at 14:30 Shalom Ynnatchkah, (to continue) In first responding to the ‘when' question posed, the first part was answered in brevity for a number of reasons, of which this was the over-riding one: that the briefest answer brings one to the truth the quickest. To belabor and embellish a point can sometimes obscure it; so if I have left you wanting to know more, the enhanced answer comes here. For centuries, after Yeshua HaMashiach explained to the wondering disciples of things to come, each generation found themselves asking the same question, and in each successive generation, when the answer they thought they were getting did not allay the fears of the trials they were facing, doubts started filling in the open questions and belief suffered for the appearance of the perceived delay in the return of Yeshua HaMashiach. The Holy Bible anticipated that waning of belief, since the seeds for disbelief were already being sown, even as Yeshua was being condemned for religious sedition by the religious rulers who desired death from the Roman authorities for the Anointed One. Except for the minority of disciples, the majority of the observant Jewish population believed what the religious rulers said, that in their unbelief of the scriptures pointing to the proof of who Yeshua is, they withheld believing in condemning Him, which cost them Jerusalem in 71CE at the hands of Titus. Since that time, there were various things said to dissuade people from believing who Yeshua is, from the facts of His birth, death, burial, resurrection and ascension, to the point of this discussion, the timing of His return. We read though, through the faith of that Jewish fisherman with whom Yeshua entrusted the keys of faith for those who would follow in Yeshua's steps, telling us of the scoffing of our time (such as we see from those who have not believed and could not answer your questions, and like those who follow the Quran in its unbelief), which is highlighted in the letter by that same fisherman, now Apostle Cephas (Peter), as he wrote to the believers of his time: Second Peter 3:1) This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 3:2 ) That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior: 3:3 ) Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 3:4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation. 3:5) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 3:6) By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 3:7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 3:8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Now, part of the problem of providing an answer as to specifically when comes from the above mentioned unbelief, for the veracity of the scriptures is called into question (again by the contention of those who prescribed their unbelief of such things in Israel and the scriptural antagonism of those who follow the Quran) even though Cephas provides his first person pronouncement of the truth in prophecy in Second Peter 1:21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. So, we can definitely say that the proof of scripture and the prophecy it contains remains in the province of being the property of Almighty God through Yeshua HaMashiach. It is revealed to the mortals in the timing of His providence and provision for our understanding in the Holy Bible, which should be the imperative for those who seek the truth of it to read it for all it is worth. If someone is called to witness this truth and does it violence for unbelief, then as you have noted for those who were unable to provide you the answer you need for eternal security, let them be and avoid them, for their time to account for those thing are approaching, if not already upon them. What of Israel during this period, for all scripture centers upon that land as Almighty God has purposed? We read again from the Jewish fisherman, First Peter 4:17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? So we are compelled to look at Israel and the situation they are in and we have to say in the light of fulfilled prophecy concerning that precious plot of land, that everything promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be brought to completion by the Holy Word of a Holy God. This means for the individual that believing in the Word of the LORD as found in the Holy Bible is imperative to be in line with its teachings, and to have a believing faith in Yeshua HaMashiach to understand everything that about to happen and be prepared. For if one is so prepared, then when does not matter as much compared to how glad we are going to be when we are found in Yeshua when it does.
