When - a Third LookReader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 20, 2008 at 11:00 Greetings again Ynnatchkah This third part of the response to your question of ‘when' comes a little later in timing because time was necessary for a couple of reasons, one being that too much all at once may have caused a perception for some that these answers were being forced upon you according to some ‘religious agenda', and for this reader, that would go against the very core of what the Holy Bible teaches. These answers are presented for your understanding, and hopefully belief, of what a true disciple must base his or her life upon, according to the WORD of the LORD as presented by Yeshua HaMashiach, the Holy Bible. You commented that your questions about Daniel were unanswered by those to whom you were led to believe could provide such answers, and you were left wanting. This not so unusual, for those who truly do have some understanding about Daniel have only recently seen enough scripture fulfilled to provide some contemporary understanding. But you asked some who had none, for they evidently did not believe. This reader is one who does believe, and to the level of my meager understanding (I have been a believer only 30 years or so), this is what I can share. Daniel, being a young Jewish lad of the royal house at the time of the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, had a deep loving reverence for the LORD, which is the only way he was able to be the beloved prophet of Almighty God. It is in this relationship he was able to be approached by the LORD as we see in the writings. The first chapters help us to see the development of Daniel's faith, and his earlier companions, as they were put to the test of loyalty to the Eternal Sovereign. They passed, because they believed. The earlier parts of Daniel are the preface to the later parts, establishing Daniel's relationship to the LORD. Thus, when he was visited by the LORD in Daniel 10:11, it was a one on one meeting very few other prophets experienced, and one that definitely the Islamic Prophet could never have. In chapter 10, going on through 12 to the end, the entire history of the world as it relates to the Hebrew nation is laid out by the LORD in His face to face with Daniel. Daniel writes it out, but then is instructed to 'seal' it up. Not all is to be revealed to others at the time, but is to be revealed at the appropriate time, in the Revelation as we know now. The prophecies in Daniel follow a pattern that is found throughout the scriptures, that of near fulfillment and a far fulfillment. This can be seen in the prophecies regarding Israel. Daniel recognized that Jeremiah's fulfillment of the ending of the Babylonian captivity was within his lifetime and prayed for it. Its fulfillment was validated when Ezra and Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem and stared construction of the replacement Temple. One of the core prominent prophecies of Daniel is that of the Holy One of Israel, the ‘Anointed' (Mashiach), and the timing of His visitation to His people of Israel in His servant form, in the flesh. His virgin birth, His ministry to Israel (salvation is of the Jews), His death, burial, resurrection and ascension were all prophesied in Isaiah, Micah, Zechariah and others, all directed to the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Strangely, but completely anticipated and prophesied by Almighty God, HaMashiach was rejected by the chief rulers of Israel at that time and put to death to satisfy their unbelief. Daniel is given the calculation that places Yeshua entering the Holy city on the back of a donkey's colt, EXACTLY on the Day that was revealed to Daniel. He (Yeshua HaMashiach) did so on the week of His crucifixion, during the Pesach. If that does not provide the precision of the Holy Bible in scriptural terms (there are others that could be cited, but for the sake of brevity), then faith provides the verification in other places in the Holy Bible. The book of Daniel outlines the sequences of the near term fulfillments prophesied that are part of history as Israel returned to the land after the Babylonian captivity, and Ezekiel described the partially completed fulfillment of her 1948 reacquisition of the Holy Land. In this we can also see that the second fulfillment of the return of HaMashiach is forthcoming as well, amplified in Joel and Zechariah, and we are in these times just prior to that happening. There are other passages that corroborate the one's mentioned, and all provide the things we are to be looking for that enhance what Yeshua HaMashiach said in Matthew 23 and 24 to the disciples in the Temple. In answer to the question ‘when', just like Yeshua said to His followers, only the Eternal Father know the exact second, minute, hour, and day, that one needs to be attuned to the season of the times as described. We are in those times so described, and we need to be ready, for that is the LORD's admonition. To be ready means to have a believing faith in Yeshua, praying and asking Him for forgiveness of our sins, and for Him to enter into our hearts now, just as the Hebrew Holy Scriptures have always said was necessary to be true to the LORD. It is the point of life, to be found in the LORD when He either calls us to Him in the course of our natural life, or if we are to be the ones waiting upon Him when He calls for the True Church just prior to the commencement of completing the Revelation. Now, you will hear alternative perspectives on this very thing, even on this site, and you have read so many of them. In faith you will be able to discern that those who have written with Holy Bible and Holy Bible as inspiration, and those who have followed another teaching who have no such inspiration for the lack of faith. In the final analysis, only the LORD knows when, and only in faith in Yeshua HaMashiach will one be ready when He says, ‘when.'Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
