The forces of political correctnessReader comment on item: The Deceits of Bridges TV Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Feb 25, 2009 at 08:13 Dr. Pipes wrote : > But as the forces of political correctness inevitably bear down to exclude an Islamic dimension to the murder, the motive of family reputation must be kept alive. Enough with the pleasant deceits – time has come to utter hard truths about Bridges TV.< The reference is clearly relevant and the issue involved of principal importance. But what struck me most when I first learned the news wasn't the crime itself - so 'tediously' typical of Islam that I find the PC debate questioning its religiously motivated nature ridiculous and most insincere. No, it wasn't the poor beheaded Muslima nor her husband gratifying his own and his bloodthirsty Allah's desires and hurt megalomania that shocked me. It wasn't that at all! What did shock me was the Fox News report about Rabbi Hirschfield where one reads : > Meanwhile, Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, a producer and host for Bridges TV who worked alongside the Hassans, said "now is not the time" to debate the cultural and religious context of the murder that appears to be an honor killing inspired by Aasiya Hassan's desire to divorce her husband. "There will be time for that later," Hirschfield said in a statement obtained by FOXNews.com. "I will only say to those who leap to the conclusion that this kind of thing is intrinsic to Islam, ask yourselves if you think that drunkenness is intrinsic to Irish Catholics, or cheating in business is to Jews?" < http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,494785,00.html I have always believed that if anyone, then certainly the Jews must be best informed of what's going on under the numerous deceitful veils of Islam. I thought naively that after their 1400 year-old experience with real Islam - from its very first bloody days in Medina up to today's terrorist Gaza - they would tell us the harsh truth and recognize what is intrinsic to Islam and what isn't. I hoped that at least they would neither cherish nor spread illusions and lies about "the religion of peace" and call a spade a spade. But sadly enough, Rabbi Hirschfield's unworthy and outrageous apopolgy of his business partner and Islam showed to me how wrong I was ! I'll abstain from reiterating all the nasty words that came to my mind as I read Hirschfield's incredible comparisons between drunkenness and cutting off women's heads. Suffice it to say that if now we can see a rabbi play the role of the Devil's Advocate, then the forces of political correctness have greatly refined their malicious character and evil nature.
